Excited for the UP AME Fair

The University of the Philippines Anime Manga Enthusiasts (UP AME) will be having their UP AME Fair entitled AME Track 10 , in celebration of their 10th year. I, along with a few UPM friends (and hopefully my boyfriend), will be attending tomorrow and I am oh so excited! And because my UPM friends and I miss each other, we'll also be having lunch out at SM Mall of Asia before proceeding to the UP AME Fair. Hopefully, everyone will be there to make things all so fun! Anyway, here are the deets for the UP AME Fair tomorrow: AME Track 10 November 6, 2010 Hall 2, SMX Convention Center 1:00pm to 10:00pm There will be a Cosplay competition, an AMV contest, an AME Caf�, a J-Music concert, fair booths, and a karaoke contest. Tickets are P120. You can pay P150 at the AME Caf� to get 30 minutes of service from the caf�'s hosts and hostesses, a serving of pastry (cream puffs from With So Much Love or mini doughnuts from Cello's), a drink, and a free photo. Cooking for Mikko's Birthday

Soba Soup with Crunchy Tofu Squares (c)Yummy and Summit Media Because it was Mikko's birthday yesterday and I barely had money to buy him a gift, I decided to make him a Japanese lunch as my gift to him. Along with cooking for him, I also decided to include as my gift, teaching him how to make California Maki. Our lunch started late because I wasn't able to buy some of the other ingredients earlier, but I'm glad that he enjoyed the meal and the lesson. For our Japanese lunch, our menu consisted of: Yakimeshi (Japanese Fried Rice) Tonkatsu (Breaded Pork Chops) Soba Soup with Crunchy Tofu Squares California Maki The meal was quite heavy and I realized after we ate that I still overestimated the amount of food I cooked. I'm learning though so it's all good. The whole process was tiring, even with help from our helpers, but very enjoyable. I find myself really loving cooking which is making me want to take up Culinary Arts sometime in the future. Well, if I can...
