What was the last book you read?

The last book I read was Ten Things I Love About You by my favorite romance author, Julia Quinn. It's her recently released book and it's the third book in her Bevelstoke series (the first being The Secret Diaries of Miranda Cheever and the second being What Happens in London). It's a wonderful read. I wasn't totally in love with Annabel Winslow but I did enjoy that she wasn't "thin". As the book describes her, she has quite the bosom and hips that are perfect for childbearing. I did love Sebastian Grey though. He was very charming and he's an author to boot! For those who haven't read Julia Quinn's works, I invite you to do so, especially if you like historical romances. But you'd better start with the Bridgerton series (which is a series of eight books!) because I believe it's her masterpiece. Ask me anything, I dare you! XD

Gratitude Post - August 02, 2010

There's this app on Facebook called God Wants You to Know . It generates a random message for you everyday you visit the app that the app makers call a message from God. I decided to see what "God wanted me to know today" and got this: God wants you to know that you will feel better if you notice the sweetness of life. Notice the smiles of children, the songs of the birds, the caress of the sun's warmth. This sweetness is for you. Allow it to soothe your soul and bring a smile to your face. Because of the message, I decided that I would create a gratitude post for today. After all, there's always something to be thankful for everyday despite the bad things that are happening around.   1. Koi, for proof-reading my Thesis Topic Proposal I am lacking only the proposal of a thesis topic plus my thesis for graduation. After I have finished both of them, I will finally be able to graduate after 8 - yes 8 - long years in college. Because of the difficulty I have i

Something Salty, Something Sweet - On Favorite Comfort Food

Image
Oven roasted french fries I'm not exactly sure what my favorite comfort food is. I have different food that I want to eat to comfort me when I am depressed. Sometimes I crave for something salty, sometimes something sweet. For the sweet food, it would be a toss-up between gummy bears, ice cream, and dark chocolate. All of them make me very happy in different ways. I love the sweet tangy taste of gummy bears, the sweet taste mixed with the soft coldness of the ice cream, and the rich semi-sweet taste of dark chocolate. For salty food, as unhealthy as they might be, it would be a toss-up between french fries, McDonald's Sausage McMuffin, and plain Lay's with a cheese salsa dip. Because these food are not very healthy, I only eat them rarely (especially in the case of Sausage McMuffin because it's only available during breakfast at McDonald's) so getting to eat them on a day I'm sad cheers me up.

What would your dream job look like?

My dream job changes every now and then but I think that my long standing dream job is to be an author. It has been a dream of mine since I was in high school. I used to feel very confident about my writing but looking back upon it now, I know that I haven't been very critical in my assessment of my writing. But since I know better now, and I want to continue pursuing writing (even as a hobby), I've started to write again to hone my skills and hopefully improve them. I'm trying to practice and write something, anything that comes to mind, every day so that my drive for writing comes back. I'm still passionate about it but since I haven't written in a long time, my drive has lessened. Hopefully (wishing with all my heart), someday, I'll be able to write a children's or young adult story (long enough to be a book) and be published. :) Ask me anything, I dare you! XD
