Gratitude Post - August 02, 2010

There's this app on Facebook called God Wants You to Know . It generates a random message for you everyday you visit the app that the app makers call a message from God. I decided to see what "God wanted me to know today" and got this: God wants you to know that you will feel better if you notice the sweetness of life. Notice the smiles of children, the songs of the birds, the caress of the sun's warmth. This sweetness is for you. Allow it to soothe your soul and bring a smile to your face. Because of the message, I decided that I would create a gratitude post for today. After all, there's always something to be thankful for everyday despite the bad things that are happening around.   1. Koi, for proof-reading my Thesis Topic Proposal I am lacking only the proposal of a thesis topic plus my thesis for graduation. After I have finished both of them, I will finally be able to graduate after 8 - yes 8 - long years in college. Because of the difficulty I have i...

For the Sake of Blogging: On the Way to the Wedding

"This, he realized, was love. It was that sense of rightness, yes. And it was the passion, too, and the lovely knowledge that he could happily wake up next to her for the rest of his life. Gregory and Lucinda's love story is, I think, one of the typical Filipino love stories I've watched on TV where the male lead falls in love with the bridge between him and his supposed love. Gregory at first falls for the stunning Hermione and befriends Lucy who is Hermione's closest friend. Through a series of events, Gregory realizes that he only fancied himself in love with the idea of Hermione and no...

The Viscount Who Loved Me

"She nodded, and he saw that her eyes were filling with tears. "You have to live each hour as if it's your last," she said, "and each day as if you were immortal." "But the opposite is true as well," Kate added softly. "You can't shun new challenges or hide yourself from love just because you think you might not be here to carry your dreams to completion." "I know. I fell in love with you, and then I knew. Even if I am right, even if I'm fated to live only as long as my father did before me, I'm not doomed." He leaned forward and brushed a feather-light kiss on her lips. "I have you," he whispered, "and I'm not going to waste a single moment we have together." Kate's lips spread into a smile. "What does that mean?" "It means that love isn't about being afraid that it will all be snatched away. Love's about finding the one person who makes your heart complete, who ma...
