Stolen from Kelly: Stress Management Tips from the Masters

Stolen from Kelly's Multiply and Kelly's LJ: Just in case you are having a rough day, here is a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological tests. The funny thing is that it works. 1. Picture yourself near a stream in the mountains. 2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air. 3. No one knows your secret place. 4. You are in total seclusion from the hectic place called the world. 5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity. 6. The water is crystal clear. 7. You can easily make out the face of the person you are holding under the water. See. You're smiling already. -Daal-

Stolen from Tateen: Written By a Guy

Stolen from Tateen's Multiply : We don't care if you're friends with other guys. But when you're sitting next to us, and some random guy walks into the room and you jump up and tackle him, without even introducing us, yeah, it pisses us off. It doesn't help if you sit there and talk to him for ten minutes without even acknowledging the fact that we're still there. We don't care if a guy calls OR TEXTS you, but at 2 in the morning we do get a little concerned. Nothing is that important at 2 a.m. that it can't wait till the morning. Also, when we tell you you're pretty/ beautiful/ gorgeous/ cute/ stunning, we freaking mean it.Don't tell us we're wrong. We'll stop trying to convince you. The sexiest thing about a girl is confidence. Yeah, you can quote me. Don't be mad when we hold the door open. Take Advantage of the mood I'm in. Let us pay for you! Don't "feel bad". We enjoy doing it. It's expected. Smile and...

For the Sake of Blogging: On the Way to the Wedding

"This, he realized, was love. It was that sense of rightness, yes. And it was the passion, too, and the lovely knowledge that he could happily wake up next to her for the rest of his life. But is was more than all that. It was this feeling, this knowledge, this certainty that he would give his life for her. There was no question. No hesitation." - On the Way to the Wedding by Julia Quinn Taken from the eigth book in the Bridgerton Series by one of my favorite authors, On the Way to the Wedding centers on the love story of Gregory Brigerton and Lucinda Abernathy. Gregory and Lucinda's love story is, I think, one of the typical Filipino love stories I've watched on TV where the male lead falls in love with the bridge between him and his supposed love. Gregory at first falls for the stunning Hermione and befriends Lucy who is Hermione's closest friend. Through a series of events, Gregory realizes that he only fancied himself in love with the idea of Hermione and no...

For the Sake of Blogging: Terza Rima

I'm terza rima , and I talk and smile. Where others lock their rhymes and thoughts away I let mine out, and chatter all the while. I'm rarely on my own - a wasted day Is any day that's spent without a friend, With nothing much to do or hear or say. I like to be with people, and depend On company for being entertained; Which seems a good solution, in the end. What Poetry Form Are You? From Wikipedia : Terza rima is a three-line stanza using chain rhyme in the pattern a-b-a, b-c-b, c-d-c, d-e-d. There is no limit to the number of lines, but poems or sections of poems written in terza rima end with either a single line or couplet repeating the rhyme of the middle line of the final tercet. The two possible endings for the example above are d-e-d, e or d-e-d, e-e. There is no set rhythm for terza rima, but in English, iambic pentameters are generally preferred. This would be the first time I've heard of the Terza Rima . I've read Dante Alighieri's Inferno (and I wan...

For the Sake of Blogging: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Another anime which my brother downloaded, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is one of the animes that my brother has been mouthing to us about for the past few months. From my brother's descriptions, it seems to be a purely comedy anime but most (if not all) animes, from my experience, have both dark side and light sides to them. So I did my research on the anime today and from what I've read, it seems to be a pretty interesting anime. I'll probably watch it when I'm done catching up with my Bleach and Naruto. Anyways, here's the plot summary from Anime News Network : Plot Summary : Itoshiki Nozomu is the world's most negative person. To his way of thinking, there is no hope or meaning in this existence. Even the three kanji of his name become the two-kanji word zetsubou, "despair", when compressed. What an ironic twist of fate, then, that he becomes teacher to a class containing his precise opposite, the invincibly positive-minded Fuura Kafuka. And here'...
